Biography
Suzanne was born and raised in the northwoods town
of Niagara, Wisconsin. She attended University of Wisconsin-Madison graduating
in 1989 with a BFA degree in Art and Graphic Design. As a student she
fell in love with painting on large surfaces. Her workstudy job as a scenic
assistant for the university theatre department greatly influenced her
art.
After a year of working as a catalog
designer in DeKalb, IL, she assumed the position as prop master and scenic
artist for the international touring production of Sesame Street Live.
During this time, she and her husband travelled extensively throughout
the United States, Canada and Mexico. When time allowed, she spent it
painting and experimenting in sculpture using some of the tools and techniques
she had learned in creating props for the theatre.
From 1995 - 2000, Suzanne worked in graphic design and attained the position
of Graphic Production Manager of the direct mail division of Standard
Register Corporation. In an effort to pursue a more art-focused career,
she left the world of advertising in 2000 and moved with her husband,
Mark, and daughters, Emilee and Katerina to Monroe, WI.
